rustoleum is duplicolor. it just a name change, at least that's what the AutoZone guy said when I questioned it.

your buddy must not have prepped well at all. i used the duplicolor spray on my rear bumper and it held up just fine for many months. I then went over it with the plasti-kote along with the sides of my Jeep and again, it has held up fine over the past month or so including three wheeling trips and four or five high pressure washings. i would use again.

no i was there when he prepped it. he did a really good job. idk if the primer maybe wasnt compatable with the paint or what. when i did my bumpers i didnt prime it cuz it says right on the can and their website that u dont need to prime it and it peeled. he ended up using flat black and i redid mine with self etching primer and the rustoleum liner and so far so good. i didnt realize rustoleum and duplicolor was the same company. mahkes sense cuz my autozone dont have duplicolor anymore just rustoleum

Well I did a heck of a job on the prep myself. And like I said, about 5 coats on the high use areas, 2 everywhere else.

I'm going to leave it as is, and when my rockers get trail wear, If the interior peels, I'll buy some raptor and do it all. If the interior is still good, I'm going to do the rockers w/the plasti in spray can. It seems thinner, but it's smoother so should be easy to wash. Time will tell. But for only $60, I'm very happy. And it seems like it's almost as quiet as when it had the carpet.
