FUNNY!!!

My experience with the TJ was mixed. Lots of fun, everybody wanted to go for rides down the creek with the doors off, DECENT mileage (2.4L DOHC, 5 speed, no air). Drove it to college, some filth cut open my plastic windows and looted it. Got SICK of driving it at 70 mph+, sold it, got into a nice Air Conditioned XJ, never looked back.

XJ: MUCH roomier, more versatile, lighter, more secure, more comfortable, just as capable in most terrain, CHEAPER, no soft top zippers to wear out, no musty smelling carpet.

TJ: Fun, but its basically a toy. You'll regret selling the XJ after the "new" wears off the wrangler. Barbie loves them, so do the male abercrombie models at the mall.

The YJ was fun but the XJ is MUCH more practical for my use and just as capable offroad.

One of my best friends drive a tj on 33's and I think my cherokee is much better. His is super loud when he has the soft top on and his is heavier and seems to sink in the sand much more. He also has no room for storage. We also have a yj for a ranch jeep, it rides like crap, its a dog with that 4 banger, is really loud and has no room for anything. Down here I've only seen a couple other lifted cherokee's and theres hundreds of lifted wranglers. It's cool to be different.

Shorter wheelbase of TJ's and YJ's mean more likely hood of fishtailing in snowy conditions,
Its also less desirable for towing.

And when you own an xj you can make fun of people who suggest body lifts.

This guy has rolled this twice since I've been wheeling with him. It's fun to watch if you like making the gang cheer lol
looks like he chopped it and built a new body already, i can make an xj look like that too.

xj is a lot lighter, being light weight is better than most mods you can do.
