It happens. I had to look closer because I am a firearm fanatic.

Was just going to say pellet gun. You beat me to it, can tell by the barrel transition for the suppressor.

How quiet is that thing? I have a few Beeman rifles and I swear my .22 is louder then a normal .22 with a long shell. The .177 isnt too bad but has no power. I need some sort of suppressor but not sure if its actual worth it.

They are definitely quieter although not as much as Gamo claims in my opinion.

"Gamo offers a huge array of high-powered air guns, in both .177 and .22 caliber, and with a variety of actions. For this article, I chose their Whisper .22. Gamo claims that the noise suppressor on their Whisper line reduces sound by up to 52%. While I didn’t try to verify this scientifically, I can vouch that the Whisper is considerably quieter than a conventional air rifle (which makes a surprising amount of noise) and can be used without hearing protection. Even more useful is that it can be used surreptitiously when you don’t want to announce to your ungrateful neighbors that you’re ridding the neighborhood of rodents and other pests."

Out of the box this one was super quiet. But I had a buddy add some more gas to the nitrogen cylinder and now you get the sonic crack from the pellet traveling. It also makes more noise because the buffer spring isnt meant for that much force. Yea I have this one in .177, a benjamin trail in that is still stock in .177, and a beeman silver kodiak x2 that has a .177 and a .22 barrel, though I only use it as a .22. It wasnt accurate with the .177 barrel. The beeman is loud and clunky. the benjamin trail is pretty quiet, way softer than a .22lr.

My gamo will shoot 1" groups through plywood at 75 yards. I kill rabbits and squirrels out to 100 yards with it.

Thanks guys. I think I will try getting a suppressed barrel first and if its still too loud (dont want the neighbors freaking out) might go with one of the Gamo guns. Got some gophers I need to take care of. Throw the hose down a hole, wait for it to pop its head out and poof!

I love my gamo gun. Its the lightes pellet rifle ive got. Where are you getting a suppressed barrel for your pellet rifle? Also, if its the beeman, a suppressor wont help much as the spring action makes the most noise. The nitro piston rifles are a lot better in my opinion.
