It is a fair load. I think it weighs about 4,000 lbs. But, I only live 2 miles from boat launch and with the rear air bags it doesn't "look overloaded" so nobody seems to bother me. Jeep has lots of power to tow it just need to be attentive.
It is a little tricky launching at low tide. Need to be in 4wd or the boat will skid the jeep down the ramp. And always pull it out of the water in 4 low.

Here's my minivan looking thing. Coming from a Hummer H3 I am a first time Jeep Latitude owner. It's only a 2WD 4 cylinder but the power is more than adequate for my needs in flat land South Florida. Loved the 4x4 Hummer but it was 12 mpg overkill for my retiree driving requirements. Hoping the Latitude is just as dependable though. The 2006 H3 proved to be bullet proof over the years except for the leaky sun roof.

lmfao.... I agree the KL gets referred to as the space jeep around my house. I even have my 7 hear old daughter in on it. Old lady says go get in the jeep and she immediately runs to mine and opens the door. Really gets under the old lady's skin but we get a laugh out of it.
