you can just weld on rock rings also instead of bead locks if you like the look.

It's clamping the bead that makes them cone.

Alot of people don't torque the bolts correctly and ive seen that lead to some coning/distortion of the ring also.

My 1/4 inch rings coned a little. I torqued mine until they held air lol.

Did it on a set of Mickey Thompson aluminum rims, worked good. Tig welded a ring I cut out on the plaz cutter. Both the rim and the ring need to be sandblasted really good for best results ,,

Yup. We fixed my buddies set so they wouldn't cone. He done two and I done two with nothing. His leaked and mine did not
