proper winch, how many lbs?

By this logic, you need to be able to push 3700 pounds to roll your truck by hand.

Just wondering what part of your truck you guys think can handle 8000+ pounds of force.

there was one time we had to use two 8000lb winches and two ****** blocks each just to get a yota out of the mud that's been in there for a couple of hours.
took us 4 hours and we had to be tied off just so we didn't go over the edge.

oh yeah, and we were up on a 15 foot ledge and the yota was down in the mud along the edge of the lake.
one ****** block each was up in a tree each, then the cable going down to the yota, then back to the tree.

we ended up bending the trees down, which helped us with the extraction from the force of the trees wanting to spring back up.

the yota felt like it weighed 30 thousand pounds.

both winches were warn.
