Hi I have a 1998 xj 4.0l,
I know this is,not everyones cup of tea, but I am lowering mine going rear wheel drive only
got mopar inlet manifold, bored out throttle body k,n air, full stainless steel headers to poss side pipe, list goes on,
I wish to remove transfer case, lot of horses lost in it, think i require pop from 2wd which is longer as didnt have a transfer case. or is just the front yoke longer? anybody have any useful info,

you'd need the driveshaft AND transmission for a 2wd XJ. you cant just take off the tcase and run it.

Hi, why would I need 2wd drive shafts, how can they be any different to the shafts I have in the back axle now?
why would I need them upfront if they are never used?
am I wrong in thinking that 2wd jeeps are rear wheel drive?
I have found a rear prop front yoke, which chrysler mopar parts list, says was fitted to 2wd jeep cherokee,s and also the parts list for wheel drive jeep does not list a transfer case for 2wd jeeps..

I believe the 2wd driveshaft is longer since there is no transfer case.
