Don't waste your time on this thing, it sounds like it will be a big hole in your driveway that you will be throwing money into.

I've cl'ed Hampton Roads for weeks..Grand Cherokees with the V8 and blown transmissions everywhere..the rest are rust buckets.

Even though I plan on light duty work for this truck (mechanical repair side job) and hauling my Civic for track days..would a body on frame really be the kicker?! (Even my friend's 4Runner has a frame)

I must admit my ignorance to the entire truck scene as I've never had much use for it..now I'm playing catch-up.

We use my friends Jeep to tow our mustangs to the track all the time I am sure your civic does not weigh as much... you should be alrite.. we use a wieght distruber hitch with a full car trailer and it works out with no problems... I need to get a hitch for my jeep... also if you plan on towing a tranny cooler would not hurt for you to install... hope that helps

Just found this 1995 Cherokee Sport 4x4 5-Speed

http://norfolk.craigslist.org/cto/2327023513.html

I'm thinking the manual might not be the best bet for deep water and mud?

Check and double check.

My Civic brags about being under one ton

Transmission cooler is a definite, anything to keep this thing alive longer.

After fighting the floods with a lowered car and manual transmission I've noticed it not wanting to engage and chatter when wet..I could only imagine what high water and mud would do if I missed a gear and got stuck.

(I think I already answered my question)
