Quick Tip - Align LCA bolt
I put some aftermarket LCAs on my 90. I have drop brackets, and the LCA is wider than the stock one. Made for a snug fit needless to say. Caught hell getting the holes lined up. So I made an alignment tool out of an old bolt. Works great.
Simple to make. Extra LCA bolt and a little work with the bench grinder.
Easy to use too. Hammer bolt into hole and rotate.

I haven't had a problem with LCA alignment, but have used something similar to that elsewhere.
Basically you have to align holes in a cylinder up with holes in the holding bracket, and a lot of force may be involved there, so doing it by hand/alone may be a chore.
That thing is the right size so that if you can shove it all the way in it'll have the holes exactly where they need to be. Since you can't really do that with a partial obstruction (misalignment) you have to remove some material so you can get it in. Half the diameter works pretty well.
Just get that half in the first part then you can wrench on it which will align the holes in the cylinder with the holes in the bracket and you can get a punch in the other side, then put your bolt in and tighten it without much trouble.
It's a less risky/error prone form of using a screw driver to pry stuff into place and you don't have a big enough punch.

I fit pipe for a living. I have plenty of alignment pins. Trust me, the 'alignment bolt' is much easier in many situations. I've used the below for flanges. Click the link, it has instructions on how to use them.
