I just recently (about 3 weeks ago) bought me one.. It's a 2004 not 2004 1/2. It has the 305 hp 555 tq 5.9L Cummins. This thing is mint. The guy that had is was the original owner, he babied it. Had all manufacturer scheduled maintenace don at the dealer with records to prove it, even had his records switched to my name at the dealer. It has only 97K miles on it. Barely broke in lol. I paid $18,500 for it!! What a steal!! So now I have my tow rig, plus another toy to modify!! If your looking for more info then you can handle check out this site.... You cant go wrong with a cummins!!

I didn't qualify any of it. If you're going to be industrially towing to the point that you rack up 50k miles per year, then obviously, a diesel would probably pay for itself.

Normal people who want a DD and tow occasionally, can save the extra 3-5 grand and still have a more than adequate truck.

Both my hemi's are over 100k right now with no issues except for a bad EGR valve that I replaced at 45k on the '06.

When I bought my 07 the sales manager was on my softball team so whenever I needed service done he gave me a loaner, normally a 1500 4x4 w/hemi. It did ok but I was sure glad to get my truck back. Oh and the loaners stopped when he was kicked off the team (for fighting). I had the atlantic blue 03 with the 48re, I loved it but wished it had more power (235 HP), Never, ever should've gotten rid of it!!!
