I feel the same way..the whole reason I brought it to this shop because it is do it yourself...however, I have never used a torch on anything so I figured I would let someone who, I thought knew what they were doing, do it.
Again, **** happens, I just wanted to rant about it, at the end of the day, it is a Jeep and nothing is un-fixable.

As with all things you get what you pay for be it parts or labor.
I buy most all of my parts and have them installed by a local 4wd Jeep Shop in business for over 25 yrs.

Since it's a northern rig, if you are going to be doing any work on it yourself, do yourself a favor and get ahold of some KB-88 -
You can get it on
Use it LIBERALLY! Usually this and a couple good whacks with a 3lb sledge does the trick. The only thing I've found that works better is a 50/50 mix of ATF and Acetone, but with KB-88 you can spray it in all the hard to reach places.
