rare jeep cherokees

Just came across this?? I have never seen one this color in person or online. I haven't even seen the color listed anywhere in the lists of color options for the XJ. At first I thought repainted but if that were the case then the engine and every piece of trim that is near the paint would have been stripped. The engine bay and door jambs look like they were factory painted. Were there any special order colors available? Like how all the town and state vehicles are fluorescent orange and some forestry vehicles were pale green. Maybe this was an option for some municipalities?

2dr- 5spds are a bit harder to find and not considered rare yet. I have a 96 4 dr Magenta jeep Cherokee... the only year I made them I believe. I can't seem to find much information on them and I can't seem to find many others... maybe 10 I've seen pictures of. 5-7 on Facebook and two or three on here...

I did say there was no such thing as a rare jeep, but there would be ones with unusual options ( and/or color schemes)
One such option that I dont know whether I have seen, even though there is a thread on this forum about it, is the factory fitted winch
There are diagrams in the Parts Manuals, and pictures of "copies" on the thread, and promotional pics.
I guess I will have to try and check the thread out to satisfy myself, unless someone steps forward and has one

As someone who is in multiple large junkyards pretty much every weekend I would say the "rarest" ones I see are 2-wheel drive ones. But just to make it more specific.. 4 cylinder, 5 speed, 2 wheel drive.. Now that is one I rarely come across.... But as of today I have never seen a right hand drive XJ in a junkyard.
I just picked this one up 2.5L 5speed 2door 2wd is it a rare one?

There is a thread about rare options and parts.
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/ra...ptions-167410/
Any XJ or MJ with the 2.1 diesel is rare.
I'd say sun and moon visors.
XJ Wagoneers in general are rare.
MJ Comanches are hard to find in the north.
Fluid sentinel system is a rare find.
Spare tire sub box is a rare find.
There is more but I can't think of anything.

Don't quote me but I am pretty sure the 2 door, 4 cylinder, automatic with the 4.56 rear is the most rare setup. Not considering power options, wing windows, tint, and other option combinations like that.
