Yeah I know. I guess I just always thought that leafs were more stable than coils in terms of body roll. So I shouldn't feel any bad difference in stability going from leafs to coils?

Yes, they do feel a bit different.

I wouldn't make the switch without a functional front swaybar and firm shocks out back.

My WJ feels unstable as hell and doesn't flex half as good as my XJ in the rear.

XJ has no sway bars and is super stable, the WJ has no rear swaybar and feels like a wet noddle

I've done 55-60 mph through the dunes around here without much concern.

I would however recommend running a front sway bar or even a rear swayloc or antirock sway bar out back if you're worried about high speed handling

I consider it a gain in compression to. if I were to compress as much with leaves they would be pretty inverted

11"

If you want to run a rear Anti-Rock you'll have to use a Universal kit.

what would be more stable at speed in the dunes, crawling, and on the street. 4 link rear with high spring rate coils and stiff shocks with front swaybar and rear antirock or deaver leafs with a nice shock to control them and front swaybar and no rear swaybar

Dunes? I really couldn't tell you, it's not my bag.

Rocks, trails, street....I prefer coils.
