dont know about nj, but i have a 2 door, they are definitely not light, but my max bench is 115lbs and i can take off both my door by myself without trouble. as for where to put them. if im at home i put them in my garage, if im elsewhere, i have a chain and pad lock and normally lock them to a pole or put them in one of my friends trucks. the hardest thing for me was electronics, luckily the only electronics on mine were the speakers so i just moved them to under the dash. other than that i love it, great for a/c and great for getting down and dirty with the gals!

they seam to love this kind of stuff
