disconnects you just pull a pin and then slide the bottom end off and tie them up. JKS makes some really nice ones that are adjustable so if you lift it later they can still be used (mine just paid for themselves cause I lifted higher and didn't have to buy new disconnects ;-)

How do you remove the rear sway bar? I'm gonna be lifting my jeep to 3 inches soon and figure if I'm already gonna be under there I might as well take it out. Thanks

Crawl underneath the back of the jeep and unbolt it from the frame rails. There is a bracket on each end of the rear sway bar connecting to the frame rails. two bolts in it per side.

There is a reason why ALL (almost) vehicles come with front and/or rear swaybars! Ask anyone who has rolled their jeep and see if they leave it off again! I would definitely leave it on and get the disconnects.

That's false I have no sway bars and is 100% safe and I have a 6.5 in lift I just drove 2 hours on curvy roads at 60+ mph. My advice is get used to the xj with all the body roll and I'll be fine even if u have to swerve to avoid an accident.

To each their own, but It's going to be sad when we have to read about you in the local paper...

Having no sway bars isn't as bad as everyone thinks personally I thinks it's safer because it keeps my tires on the road during turns

Actually no I'm not if u no anything of what sway bars do. When the car truck or suv starts to tip the sway bars don't allow the axle to to stay horizontal with the road causing your tires to lift of the road causing a possible roll over. With no sway bars at all it allows the body to roll during a turn while keeping the the axles horizontal with the road keeping your tires on the road not allowing to roll over. I have 6.5 in lift no sway bars and would much rather have them off during a fast turn then with them on my jeep

So you would say remove the rear and get discos for the front?
