Got a 90 here, and absolutely love it! Even though my transfer case broke so it's down and sitting next to the house right now. :/

Chrysler evolved it into the HO in 1991.

Here's something interesting for you Renix lovers:

HO myth buster

Renix in 90 made 182 HP. HO in 91 made 190 HP. That's 8 HP difference.

HO only made more HP than Renix at higher RPMs and not a bit more torque. HO had 58 mm throttle body versus a 52 mm throttle body on a Renix and also had a better design header. See where I'm going with this?

The whole 8HP was not mostly from the head, but from the bigger TB and better exhaust manifold.

Put a 60mm TB from www.strokedjeep.com on your present head, eliminate the "crush" in your headpipe with proper re-routing, and go for it.

HO stands for Highly Overrated.

I have a 90XJ and a 89 MJ have had Jeeps for on/off over 50 years and I don't want a Jeep that requires a computer to tell you what is wrong with it. I do want something with an electronic ignition as they are hotter, thus better burning and also reliable. The Renix fills the bill.

Yep. Easy to work on. Had their quirks, but those can be addressed with normal maintenance and a few hours of ground cleaning and connector refreshing. All you need is a $10 meter.....

You guys familiar with the 746 injectors available from Programbo here on CF?

Best ones I've ever used.
