I was just trying to use up all the strap. I originally wanted to go all 4 corners but ran out of strap so I settled for 3. It may not look like it but it's pretty stable. I will redo it soon.. Ha just trying to decide how.

Go to the junk yard and pull an axle from an old XJ.

Hacked off the hub end of it, then mount that to your roof rack securely (you may need to add a new cross bar). Put the wheel on and toss on a couple of lug nuts. There you go, wheel won't slide, spin, or bounce.

You may as well buy a tire mount before you do that! But good idea

Not sure on the size. Seems to me you could drill a hole in your rack and get a long bolt to go from the hole thru the wheel. Then get a flat steel bar say 3/16" thick by 2" wide and cut to the size of the wheel mounting surface and drill a hole thru it, then add a nut.

Look for a place in your town that does leaf springs and U bolts, trailer parts etc. There has to be one close to you. They will ask how large or a radius, how long and what type of bend you want on them (right angle, round etc.). I got some new ones made when I installed my add a leaf. They cost me $30.00 for the pair and they made them while i waited.
