I was convinced to go with RC after hearing similar gripes, because although they had a lot of bad reviews from them most people with RC told me to go with it. They're leaf spring cracked on me, their shocks are absolute garbage and a replaced the control arms already. And do not be expect to be able to find replacement parts such as bushings etc, cause they don't always make them. They told me I'd have to buy all new arms from them cause they didn't sell replacement parts for them. And the arms were a year old. That was my RC experience and I have/ will remove Rough Country from my Jeep.

RC bad, sub-standard grade. Likely have to replace it within 2 years time.
Rubicon Express and Zone are better.
seriousoffroadproducts.com has great deals.
Save a little longer for better quality and you will have a more safe and pleasant ride.

I run there 3 inch kit and love it. Yeah the shocks are crap, but its a nitrogen shock what would you expect. Rubicon express gave me and a buddy a hard time getting his kit put on. and the sent the wrong U bolt and wanted to charge an extra 60 for new ones. When I called RC to order mine I got great customer service and discounted shipping, they also give you a discount after for being part of this forum, you just write a review on the lift and email them the link and theyll credit the account you used to purchase the lift. I plan on uprgrading soon to theyre long are upgrade kit and 6 inches front 6.5 rear (out of want, not need. I met a rock I need more clearance for)

Springs were saggy, shocks were white bodies, the 2.2's weren't as bad, their control arm bushings didn't last long, and I still have their AAL. It's defiantly about done for.

Really? My 3 inch springs and add a leaf got me a lil more than 4 inched, I've been running it hard for about half a year, But when I do lift more, I'll be upgrading to bilsteins 5125

3" coil and full leaf spring packs are okay. Shocks certainly make you feel like you're in "rough country". I wouldn't trust anything else though.

From my experience, they're not complete garbage like most people claim they are.
Are the shocks sub-standard? Old white bodies, yes. Newer grey ones are a def improvement, but still not great.
Do the control arms suck? They're not great.
The rest of their lift components aren't bad for a budget kit. (Emphasis on budget)
I went with them because I plan on upgrading their downfalls anyway. (Serious long arms to replace control arms, and Bilsteins to replace shocks)
Like I said: all my opinion.

Well this all depends on how you use the Jeep... If you only play in mud, ride on the road, or on the beach/ sand, yeah you probably won't have a problem. If you like rock crawling and trails with features that will squeeze every bit of suspension articulation you have out of your Jeep, I don't think you will like RC stuff...
Look at Tom's pics, or some of mine. They won't last on this stuff.

RC x-flex joints are garbage, their products are substandard, and the customer service blows. I got their adjustable CA's, upper and lowers, had major problems with the threads that hold the the two pieces of the arms together, basically I had to re-tap them myself as they wouldn't cover it, brand new in the box, and bought directly from them through their website. Have rebuilt those crappy x-flex joints twice, and it needs to be done again. Will never buy anything from them again. As a matter of fact, when they come off (and they will) I'm not even going to re-sell them to anyone, they are going into the garbage. I wouldn't give them away to someone even if I didn't like them. You get what you pay for, don't cheap out where it counts.
