Bottom line here is this: it's a shady deal. These guys buy salvage vehicles at auction. Then they put as little as possible into it, enough to make it look good. Then they charge book price for the car, and someone comes along and buys it...but maybe not someone as savvy as you....they know exactly what they're doing. They can try to justify it all day long, "we replaced and repaired _____", but there is NO WAY anyone should pay that kind of coin for a salvage title, EVER. It's a predatory practice, and that alone would make me steer clear. If they're trying to cheat people out of their hard earned money on a vehicle that is priced NO WHERE NEAR what the actual value is, then how are you supposed to trust their "work"?....The whole thing just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Really all of this wouldn't be an issue to me for $2000 or so, but not for 5.

Forget about red, and you can save yourself some decent coin.

Hmm, well I just got a call that all the door locks were replaced and the electrics were fixed, so I'm going to look at it again Saturday, act desperate and broke and see if we can become friends, ey? Lol. But seriously, if he's trying to make things right I might at least work with him on this.

I wouldn't touch that jeep for 5k. And are you sure the odometer runs while it's being pulled behind an rv? Could have twice as many miles as it says. Also if they didn't know how to pull it they could've really screwed it up. I got my jeep for a little more than that 3 years ago. 109k absolutely zero rust southern jeep, stock, remote start, 8.25 axle, good paint, good body lines and gaps, grey interior, clean interior and exterior. Maybe one or two door dings, no scuffs on the bumpers or anything like that. Oh and there big difference no salvage title with questionable repair work. I think everyone is telling you to go for something else but you're too stubborn to take the opinions you asked for. You're dead set and don't seem to be listening but your money to waste not mine so go for what your heart says.

Clean title it's not worth 5k
Total titles will kill the value by half. Most insurance companies won't cover you.
I personally wouldn't pay over 2k for it. You could fly to the nw, buy a clean and rust free xj with a clean title, and drive back to co for under 5k. Just sayin.

So you're wanting to buy a unknown mileage, dirty title xj, with a bent up unibody for 5k.
I'll deliver mine for 5k and it's rust free with a clean title lol

Bad move, man...bad move.
Don't give these guys the time of day. Unless you can pick it up for a song, DON"T DO IT.
They say they fixed everything...test it to make sure. But my guess is they are only going to drop price a few hundred bucks, maybe up to 1K....still not worth it. If you end up buying this thing for any more than 2K, I'll put in to have you perma banned on stupidity alone, LOL

Yeah I am being a bit stubborn. I do hear what you're all saying. Its hard to balance, mechanically its in great shape, it doesn't slip, shifts fine and has tons of grunt and a prominent "semi" roar to it, that's what I call it ha. Engine was quiet, just some quiet rocker ticking here and there. Temp was good, oil pressure was average. I observed NO rattles or squeaks in my test drive and I did drive this jeep about 5 gallons worth of gas, shocks are firm, rotors might be warped a bit, but brakes good other wise. It did not wander for the 7-10 seconds I let off the wheel, even with a slight acceleration. Cosmetics are of question, but if it wasn't serious I dont mind some small projects... gonna see about dropping the price though no doubt.
