Short arm flex critics

Correct. The only way to mount 14in shocks without losing travel is to extend the upper shock mount. Or the lower mount, but it would be harder to do.
My future plans are to run 38's with the same lift, and same suspension. Hopefully will have the 14in shocks by then.

and what lift height are you at?
i m at 6.5 in the front and i can flex out all day with my stock lines but the rear is a dakota brake line bc mine was a rubber band.
i also have 16.5 inch shocks in the back and they have about an inch left with a full tuck of the rear but i am moving them to the front and getting 15.5 inch ones for the back to be safe to not blow a shock

IF you have short arms your lift does not matter as far as flexing. My short arm stops have been modified to allow more travel.
My lift is 3in.

The 8.25 is as good as any yota or 44 out there. My only hang up with it is I would like to run 5:13's. Can't do that with a Chrysler rear.
I have an inch shaved off the 8.25 and I enjoy the clearance.

A short arm only has so much overall travel. Lift has nothing to do with it.
What I am doing is just trying to make the most out of my short arms.
On the axle side of your short arm mount. There is a portion that limits the amount of down travel. I modified mine just slightly to allow more down travel. For you since you have a larger lift, you really need drop down brackets in my opinion, or long arms. Because at 6.5 in you only have a few inches left of droop. Where I have about 6.5 inches.
I am flexing more probably because I should have a little more up travel and down travel compared to you? Do you have bump stop extensions? And what is your shock travel in the front?

What I mean is that if you have short arms like me, our potential to flex is the same no matter what your lift is.
