Default Should i buy this CRD Librety

My co-workers gram has this 2006 jeep Liberty with the 2.8 CRD auto. it has 52000 miles on it and he said she will sell it to me for 8200 bucks. what do guys think

Are those things any good off road? I've never driven one.

Swap the engine into a cherokee... I know ive seen it done somwhere...

my mom DD's a renegade on 30" Firestone A/T's its a good DD. gets about 18mpg and can tackle some deep snow and snowy trails. 3" lift and some 31's and you have a decent looking relatively capable rig

yeah i was looking to get a forester XT 2.5 turbo but tthis seems like a god rig

You can get 3" lift with spacers so 31x10.50's will fit.
Add a couple lockers and I bet it will go any place an equivalent XJ will go.
I'd think seriously about it.

Why? The only downfall to them (diesels) are the ifs. I have a diesel one about to hit 100k and am yet to make a repair. Almost 300 ft lbs stock is great. I average about 24-25 MPG. Anyway, that is an awesome deal.
