I hate you guys! I wish I could get one. This information was sourced from http://www.greendieselengineering.com/goPage.do?method=perfComp.

60 mph cruise (70 F, no AC)

Stock Liberty = 31 mpg
Tuned Liberty = 36 mpg

A former neighbor of mine in Southeastern Colorado has a tuner like this one on his KJ CRD and could PROVE close to 40 MPG with his tuner. When I say PROVE I mean with fuel reciepts and odometer calculation methods! The tuner he uses though is made by a company that specialized in tractors. Still not sure on the company but if I get back up there any time soon, I will ask him.

At least it isn't a Compass! LOL! To each his own but the way I see it the CRD Libs are just fine. Think about it, the damn thing is 4x4 you can brew your own fuel from french fry grease that most places will pay you to take AND it can still be lifted and somewhat capable. If you total the damn thing you can take the powertrain and put it in your XJ.

WIN WIN WIN! But that is just me But then, of course, I can't afford to buy one with house payments and all

Theres a guy around my area that actually has a pretty cool red one. Its lifted and has a doorless mod on it. It looks pretty sweet, and Id rock it.

Agreed. On Ebay you can see them going upwards of 10 grand with 100,000 miles and over. Thats a great deal for a low mileage CRD and If it was me, I'd buy it in a heart beat. Not many built CRD Liberties rocking the trails out there and I'd defiantly like to change that someday.
