96 2 door, 5 speed, 2 wd, 2.5. Just bought aver the weekend, probably a LS swap candidate. Body is real nice, no rust. Let the fun begin.

 

That my friend will make a very sweet LS swap using a ford 9" in it cut down for all that power.

 

She has been neglected. Needs a good cleaning real bad. The front end needs work, the damper bushing is completely gone, metal to metal. I have not had much a chance to really get a good look though. I will get it up on jacks this weekend and see what it looks like.

Body is sound, no rust, very little rust on uni body as well.

The little 2.5s is a complete dog! I will say though, I drove it home about 90 miles in less than a quarter tank. My 99 4.0 would have easily used a half tank.

I have been looking for an earlier model 2wd for this swap for quite awhile. Probably over paid a little but I don't mind if there is no rust.

 

wtf. my 4.0 literally doesn't come off of F until 110 miles. I get 225-240 miles to a half tank. what kind of ls motor are you thinking about? what trans etc?

 

I get around 300 per full up. Averaging right at 15 mpg on the ap I use.

Not sure what set up yet. I am going to try and stay around 3,000-4,000 for the engine, Tran and accessories then what ever else I need for the install. I have seen a few ls1's on eBay from early 2000 GTO's that aren't priced too bad.
