Sludge questions
So I was at the parts store today and I was talking to a "20 year mechanic" and he said that the best way to clean sludge from an engine is to drain the oil unplug your ignition and fill engine with diesel.. Crank motor for 15 to 30 seconds let starter cool for about 15 mins then repeat for approximately 2 hours... Oh and you will need a battery charger to keep enough juice to turn the engine... This sound super sketchy what do you guys think.. I will stick with seafoam but you know how curiosity is... I want to know as much about my machine as I can... Even the sketchy stuff

Don't do it, you run the risk of ruining the rod and main bearings. Diesel is very thin compared to motor oil, you'll just pound the bearings and end up with a rod knock.
