Default Slylvania headlights life?

So how long do Sylvania silverstars last?
I haven't heard a good life... many have said just a year.

Ive had the ones from the previous owner for almost a year, with no problems, and I doubt he changed them in a while but frankly they suck at illumination.

I have heard that the Sylvania's are better at illumination, but I heard a lot of people saying that their life is less than good.
I just want to hear from people who actually own them themselves. Could you report on the life of these products and your overall satisfaction?

Sylvania recommends you change them every year. Because of the higher discharge they go bad faster.

On my Stratus I run dual filament (hi&lo in one bulb) SS's. I also have wired in a bunch of relays that allow me to run the low and fogs like normal but when I put the highs on, the fogs and lows stay on, so I have both filaments burning at the same time whenver I have the highbeams on.

One of the low beams just popped this morning after about 18 months.

That being said, my 97 F150 has a set of SS's in the fog lamps that are at a minimum 6 years old and still going strong.

My friend had one burn out after 9 months.

I have had them for 4 months, so far OK.

I don't like mine. They are dim. It's really gonna suck if they burn out in a year.

3 years on my DD, about a year and a half on my rig. I crushed the last pair at rausch.

If you don't like them, then replace them now before they blow.
I hated the standard halogens in my XJ till I got them adjusted correctly now they're fine.
