Maybe your buddy cant drive then? Ive done better in my cherokee than my buddies with KM2s on the wranglers. Ive yet to find something they cant handle. I was just in upstate NY at my buddies cabin. Its all thick heavy mud up there and I did great and all I have is a 3" lift.

Im not saying they are and MT by any means but they have done great for me in the mud and they have excellent on road manners. I am saying the are a great compromise for someone wanting something better than an A/T tire, but doesnt want the noise and ride quality of an MT.

I had Mastercraft Courser AT2s and they were great sand tires.

Km2 s are good for rock crawling that's pretty much it. Snow ice and mud not so good. Iroks are beast though

my last jeep had the exact same tires same rims to actually 235/75/15 on no lift and out in the desert i ate it up just get the tires spinning and they grabbed i also went through a mud hole up to the top of the fenders aprox 12' long just floored it and i got through no problem in my limited experience with AT's you got to get them spinning so they will clean out

Wheel speed will certainly help clean your tires out.

I understand that wheel speed will clean the tires but at the same time ur losing traction wile spinning tires, wouldn't that have sent me closer to the water?? Just asking, I really don't know.

by getting the tires spinning the lugs start to clean themselves out therefore letting the tires bite in so you can grab, this theory only works in mud, sand, snow, and other loose substances. if your on rock or other hard/solid surface then you want less wheel spin. so to answer your question yes and no depending on the surface

AAA won't help you if you intentionally left the road.

Yes they will. As long as they can winch you out without their truck going offroad they will honor the recovery. If the tow truck had to leave the pavement its an instant $250 charge right then and there.

I had to call AAA for a friend a couple weeks ago. He intentionally left the road to make a uturn in the sand and didn't realize how soft it was.

Its can be tricky when your close to the edge, but sometimes you just have to spin and pray. A lil water wouldnt hurt anyway. Ideally if your spin, the lugs clean otu and are fresh to bit into the surface when they comes back around.
