I don't think it deserves the "Cherokee" name. Looks kinda funny.

To me, it looks way more like a midgit GC than anything else. I will never call it a Cherokee. Sure, if they gave me one, I'd let my wife drive it but I wouldn't. My '91 XJ is the newest vehicle that I have ever owned. I HATE having to have a college degree as an auto tech to be able to change the oil. I don't like new cars. If they still made our XJ's, there'd be a lot more of them on the road because they were built to last. That is why folks are getting 400,000+ miles on a motor.

It is based on the Dodge Dart platform.

Its a FIAT idea of what Jeep is about.

F. I. A. T. Found In A Trench

These cars will probably stay there.

I loved my Fiat! But it wasn't trying to be a 4x4. It was a small two door coupé, something the Italians are good at.
Offroaders? Not so much
