I’m trying to delete this thread from cherokee chat...I moved it to a more proper place (stock XJ discussions). Sorry I can’t find a delete button here.

Hey guys -

Question:
Anybody know where to get a new 2000 cherokee classic 4.0L steering shaft? I have play in my steering.

Background:
I have replaced almost everything steering related. Gearbox, all linkages, power steering. Had 3 shops check my work and try to find the issue...so today I took it to the dealer. They said it actually might be the “intermediate steering shaft” (basically the only damn part I haven’t replaced)... but that part has been discontinued. I’m trying to find a new one but for some weird reason all the sources seem to carry only 87-94 steering shafts.
