They do. Look up the frequency response on those things. Anything below like 50hz gets crossed to the "bass unit" which isn't even a sub, it bottoms out at like 25hz. When you turn the volume above any level louder than a whisper you can clearly tell all the low frequency sounds come from whenever the bass thing is.. It completely destroys any spatial substance of the source. Not to mention the anything above 15khz sounds like garbage.. They flatten the signal to hell at that point and hi hats sound super compressed.

LOL! For the record, I was able to take this picture of the inside of someone elses vehicle because the ghetto wiring job caught fire under the hood and I put it out.

I Don't know the size by heart. But they're about half 3/4 the size of normal battery terminal wires.
