I'm into hard rock and stuff too. I have two 10" slim subs in seperate boxes with a 300watt(1000max) amp. I'm happy with them. You can barely hear them outside the jeep , but they fill the inside with great sound.
If your hatch rattles too much, pull the trim and put thin tape type foam inbetween the parts that rattle. It'll take like 10min, but will be totally with it.

No dice dudes, i flipped it so it points towards the hatch behind rear seat and it helped maybe 3%. but that was without my engine on and driving so now I have to remove 3 % and were back at 0

only other thing i can think of that we havent cover yet is did you accidently switch the positive and negative speaker wire which would put your subs out of phase which would cancel out the bass. also, did the wires from the terminal come loose inside the box?

DUDES!!! I solved it!!!! there were 2 fuses that were on my amp that I had never seen before. 2 25 am fuses, one was blown and the other was blemished but operating, so my subs had like 5% of their power. probably blew them when I changed my battery and cables and kept droppng the rachits and all metal hammer on both of my battery terminals haha oops! so I kept adjusting my amp settings and tecnically it was working but not well. went out there and turned my accessory power on and my amp flashed the red light of death and then went off. i tried and re tried the ground but who would have thunk that stuff doesnt work when your fuses are blown hahaha
thanks guys!
