I didn't notice any differences between the two. one is made by superior and the other is made by yukon
and that price Robert was offering on the ultimate was damn good.

but should you spend good money on either? I always reference the pirate guys.
what tire size are you planning for?

I'm going to be running 33x12.50s with 4.56 gears and a eaton elocker. I know I would be fine on the stock shafts with the stock 4.0 in it now but someday I want to swap a 5.3 or 6.0 into it and don't want to break anything then. I'd rather build it once while the axle wasnt under my jeep. Or do you guys think a stock 8.8 could hold up to a good horsepower v8?

Hell, if you have the money... go for it.

10 bucks says you never swap the motor and a stock 8.8 is PLENTY strong enough for 33s.

I dont get what the V8 swap is for either but if that's what you're into... I'd just gear and lock an 8.8 for 33's
but like lowrange said, if you got the money do what you want. If I was going to spend over a grand beefing an axle it would be a dana 60

for 33's? just run the stock shafts, and throw a full case locker in it.

If your running an 8.8 with the 31 spline shafts, I wouldn't do anything to it. Strenght wise it's slightly less than a dana 60. Spend that money on a cage.
