Surco Roof Rack Lighting...
Just picked up this 50"x40" Surco roof rack last night for $120. I'm pretty happy with it so far, it came off a wrangler so the mounting points are a little weird, but with u bolts I should be able to make it work. So to the point.. What's the best way to mount 4 lights on my rack without buying the light brackets which run $24.99/pair..? I'm sure somebody out there has figured out a much cheaper solution! I'd rather not drill any holes into the rack itself if possible.
And just for roof lighting in general, please post pictures of how you ran/mounted your switches, relays, wiring etc. it would be very helpful. I'm just looking for some ideas before i start my wiring.
Thanks in advance, let the ideas, pictures and advice roll on in!!

Engine: 4.0L upgraded charging system & blue top, flowmaster 44, hi flow cat and two core rad.
I put 4 hella rally ff 1000's on my surco rack, I used surco brackets, however I think it should be real easy to make some out of flat plate and some bolts. I ran my wiring along the rack and dropped it down to the roof by the back crossbar then in along side the liftgate. On the back I added some L.E.D lightbars to add some punch to the backlights, I wired those in with the trailer wiring.

Keep the input rolling in! Hoping to find a cheap mounting solution where I can buy my parts from a local lowes, ace hardware, etc.
I was thinking about bolting up some 90 degree brackets to the rack.. If I can find them at a local hardware store..

went to Home Depot and got 2 small 90 degree metal braces (about 2 inches wide). Drilled a 1/2" hole on one side and mounted light. Drilled 3 5/16 holes on the other side of bracket and then drilled through to black slab bars on outside. wires will be run across front bar and loomed to front of drip rail. Drill drip rail to allow wires through and tuck them under the door weatherstrip down to the lower door hinge and into the engine compartment. Follow your wiring directions for your switch from there. Good luck !

slight idea here, depending on what light you have you could try these;

seem like they'd do good

you could use a flat bracket then drill some holes in it then use 2 straps and 4 bolts to hold the backets on 3/4 tubing of the surco rack that's what i did to one of my racks the other had the surco light brackets on it when i bought it .. good luck or you could use some 3/4 u bolts and the flat bracket

Ending up finding some really sturdy 90 degree brackets at home depot for about $3/piece. Had to do a little trimming with the trusty sawzall to make them fit. There are three "plates" on all sides of the Surco rack, I mounted the brackets on the front three plates with two bolts per bracket. This ending up working out perfect! Picked up three KC knock off lights and mounted em up!
Now, for the wiring, how am I going to run my wires without drilling a hole through the roof? I don't think I could bring my self to do it haha.
