Default Suspension question

So i just bought my first jeep, its a cherokee 4.0 manual sport 4x4, 4dr. Ended up doing almost an entire overhaul of the engine cause someone stole stuff from it from the old owner cause she never drove it. runs/drives awesome now.

So my question is for suspension; The rear leafs are shot. they are almost bending in the wrong direction. I pulled out the leafs from another cherokee stock height and was going to replace the suspension with that, and get a 3" lift at the same time(already ordered the lift). But then i heard that you could take the shackles(or even the leafs) from a ranger or a explorer and it would lift the rear of your jeep a little bit? is that true? I went to pull apart and matched them up they are almost identical except the fords are and inch to an inch/half longer? does anyone see a problem with swapping those? and still using the 3" lift i bought? (lift is the ad a leaf kit) Could i also add a buster leaf in there to beaf up my rear suspension for towing my trailer?

Just curious! even if it is a stupid question.
