But yeah, anyways just do what the guy said, wetsand your tail lights back to their original color as best you can and respray, this time prepping with an alcohol "wipedown" lol.

VHT Niteshade
clear coat (krylon)
Tape
2000 grit sandpaper
Paint thinner
rags
microfiber
Steps
Pop off lights
Tape of white part
wet sand lights with 2000 grit and little soap detergent (keep sanding until lights are cloudy)
Rub scuffed lights with paint thinner
wipe of paint thinner
Wipe off one last time to remove finger prints and skin oils
USING NITESHADES
Spray edges first lightly
hit middle lightly
wait 5 minutes
check and see if it's to dark
repeat niteshades painting
wait 5 minutes
repeat niteshades
wait 10 min
CLEARCOAT (2-4 coats)
Hits edge lightly
hit middle
wait 10 minutes
repeat clearcoat
wait 10
repeat clear coat
POLISING
Use 2000 girt and soap

I plan on picking up a can of VHT next time I go to the store. I have a question though. Are the stock tail lights bright enough to be visible after the tint? And do I have to take the tail lights off? Can I just tape around them and be fine?
Thanks
Thanks

It's as visible as you make it. Depends on the amount of coats.

That looks really nice! How many coats was that/what distance? And I take it those are stock bulbs, etc? Still visible?
Am I pretty much following that post above mine with those instructions?

That's a little dangerous if you ask me. Reverse lights aren't only white so they shine more light, they are also designed to warn others that your backing up. I personally wouldn't do it, and it's probably more illegal than tinting them black. To each their own I guess.

As far as auxiliary reverse lights go, it's not enforced too much around here, but i don't need another thing to catch an officers attention and pull me over. After I got pulled over for a fox racing sticker on my back window and got slammed with over $500 in fines for lift, tires sticking out past the fenders, tinted tail lights, not having a catalytic converter, and obstruction of view (sticker), I decided I needed to tone things down a bit. I've since put a legal exhaust system on, stripped my tail lights and put a lighter coat on them, removed the fox sticker, and got wheels with less/more (whichever way that goes) backspacing to pull my tires back in a bit.
Gotta be careful with those lense tint laws.
