Would there be any insurance issues if you take the doors off?

Just mirror laws.

Like for me in Illinois, all I need is one (rear view) mirror and I'm good. Although when my doors are on, I only gain one additional mirror, lol.

You can run all the plugs into a single plug, i actually have a 10 pin plug for my right side disconnect (even tho i have manual everything, so its just 2 wires) Just happened to be the first plug i found in the garage. I actually think that plug came from a cherokee at pull-a-part. You could probably go to the junkyard and find a 12 or so pin connector to fit your needs.

Or you could just do this.

I plan on doing it when i get around to it, really tired of putting the old rubber grommits on.. they're the only irritating part of removing and putting on my doors. Takes me all of a minute or two.

I've got a 2 door, and the only issue i have is some small leakage problems, but that is more the fault of not putting alot of effort into aligning the doors back up or even attempting to realign them. Still IMO the best mod i've ever done to my jeep.

There called door jamb tacks I believe. Ive built several hot rods with my dad and we always use em. We order them from painless performance wiring. Its about the best aftermarket wiring company ever. Ive also done doorless on a full power k5 blazer and used their weather pak connectors.

I disagree too, if you know how to line up a door its no problem. My Comanche is set up for doorless but I hate to get mud inside. Lol.

Scribing a line around the hinge before removal is always a good idea. Not enough roo on these, but alot of times when I remove hoods on certain cars I drill a 1/8" locating hole to help line it back up. Im doing a 57 Chevy truck for my brother in law now. He removed the hood without me there, didn't drill holes to align it....took me days to line it up. My way on the doors is to snug the hinges, close the door, have the hinges just loose enuf to be able to force the door around. Link up your striker and body lines, carefully open the door, then tighten them down real tight. Oh ya, don't re use those junk bolts! Lol
