Why are you always working on your jeep?

Because I can, I like to, and since parts break on a 20+ year old jeep

I just tell people I'm keeping it young with new parts.

I was so excited when my girlfriend said she wanted her next car to be a jeep, I almost broke up with her when she told me she wanted a wrangler.

And my favorite:
::walk into auto parts store, and tell them, "I need such and such a part for a '99 Jeep Cherokee, 4 wheel drive, 4.0 inline 6." Their response, "Grand Cherokee or regular?" Did I SAY grand at any point?::
his is an old post but that happens to me everytime i go somewhere lol

My girlfriend is getting a new Jeep...she wants a yellow JK but at least it's a 2 door rubicon...with an auto :cringe:
Oh and then she had a conversation about how eventually I will have to part with my XJ, because "at some point it's not worth keeping"...I JUST might have to dump her *** now.

"Do you have reliable transportation?" Interviewer today.
Its reliable unless I roll or otherwise destroy it. And if it does break, most repairs short of an engine swap can be done in a parking lot with basic tools that are always in my Jeep

Since you didn't quote your response, I'm assuming you just thought that, and didn't say it . That could have been the death of your interview lol. I know that would tell me you're wreckless and your vehicle breaks down so frequently you have to keep tools with you to fix it in parkinglots. lol.

The tools have mostly been used to fix other people's vehicles, plus keeping them is useful on the trail.
And yes I just thought that in my head

The day she says it's not worth wheeling is the day she's not worth my time.
