I run a NAPA store here in KY and ALWAYS ask if it's a Grand or regular Cherokee. Why? Because a majority of people and too retarded to know the difference. On more than one occasion, I've had people get mad at me after selling them a Grand Cherokee part and they have an XJ Cherokee. In my head I'm always like "Tell me the right goddamn vehicle and I'll sell you the right parts, stupid".

lol You should ask the Brody Helms guy (*****'s Jeep being the only true Jeep because they were made for war) if the HMMWV is a "True Jeep":

- Designed specifically for the US Military
- Manufactured by AM General, an AMC subsidiary
- Trademarked 7-slot front grille (not licensed to Ford, that's why the GPWs had 9 slots)
- NP/NVG transfer case

Troll-o-matic lol

Indeed, trying to sort out for sale ads is often a challenge with crap like "1998 Cherokee 4.7L V8!" (with a pic of a ZJ, for all of you saying 'engine swap' in your heads).

actually. HUMVEE came to be military becuz of a contest of the contract. the military put out the contract. ONLY two replied. LAmbo and AM general. Lambo came out with a superior vehicle over all. BUT lambos vehicle could only be repaired or worked on with specialty tools that had to be special ordered from Lamborghini

while as HUMVEE could be worked on with a basic set of tools.

Haha I did not know that, neat. Doesn't surprise me though lol.

Looking at the HMMWV's independent suspension and sort of overall shape reminds me of the AMC Mighty Mite. I think it was on this forum that I read a father-and-son build thread on the thing.

Hate to be a stickler but he's right in saying HMMWV. Humvee was just a nickname military personnel gave it.

Not direct at you, jeeperscreepers92, but armymedic120's comment reminds me of a guy in high school who swore he was an expert on military everything and claimed that "lock and load" was the correct phrasing. One day I showed him that the phrase was a misspeaking of "load and lock" to describe the new M1 rifle's magazine worked.
