Had a hot chick refer to my jeep as "cute" the other day. She didn't look near as hot after she said that.

My neighbor said that about mine too! But, it was a wrangler owner, and not a hot chick.

Things not to say to an XJ owner:

If I wanted a hummer I'd ask your sister (only reason you don't say this to an XJ owner is because they'll end up laughing to death)

I've had numerous messages telling me how much they agree with all that I said - great. I know a lot of people on here are ashamed of the childlike behaviour. I can appreciate how someone of your age wouldn't understand why I said what I said. You'll take that as an insult, however I assure you it's not meant as one.

I just find it a little bothersome that the vast majority of posters on here think they're so much better than every other vehicle owner, and that XJ's are the only vehicle that should be respected, and can only curse and run every non XJ owner down. It's pathetic. Especially considering how old some of you are.

I'm 28. I'm young enough to still get out there and get covered in mud and roll over fallen trees and "roll with the cool kids", but I'm also old enough to know that it's NOT "cool" to talk like you've never entered an educational facility. Have a little respect, is all I'm saying. This IS a public forum that anyone on the internet can see - keep that in mind. There are a LOT of children out there, considering buying Jeeps, that will see these forums. Parents of those children will see these forums. And those parents, having seen the crap that's mentioned on here, may think twice about letting their children turn into... gasp... you.

Rants over.

Never tell an XJ owner's girlfriend how much money he's put into it.
I think we can all attest to that.
WHile i agree with the fact that he shouldnt run others down i have to argue the point that its his age bc im the same age and ya i love my jeep but hell if ur gunna challenge somebody just dont automaticly assume its age bc im only 16 and more mature than most people on here

Typical conversation over here:
-So, what car do you have?
-I have a Jeep.
-Oh, that's awesome, does it have a soft top?
-No, it's a cherokee.
-Cherokee?? i thought you had a Jeep, you know... a real one..

After getting shortly pissed i usually point out some technical differences that make the cherokee a better off road vehicle than a wrangler.
First of all, the cherokee weighs 1000 lb less and considering it has the same drivetrain it will handle better.
The front axle is a reverse cut high pinion dana30, stronger than a conventional low pinion dana30 found in a wrangler.
etc etc..

Did they even know what a high pinion was, just curious. I see the wrangler good for snow and rain an such for it's bottom heaviness but the Cherokee just nevers quits no matter what it's put through

That's what makes you a good jeep owner, educating people on the benefits of an XJ.
