I used to be able to get it dirty... but no rain=no mud
As for what not to say? "Why don't you get all that dust off your Jeep?" or "Hey, where's your mud?" WE'RE IN A DROUGHT! There's no mud to get on me!!!

Wagon is what most say. I had someone say a station wagon once. I was about to pop a cork!

"Why is your jeep never clean? You always have that thing going into mud holes and over huge coal banks. You should clean it sometime it looks really bad when you Jeep is covered in so much coal dust it looks black instead of green"

Whe people make fun of your YJ because it is small and you end up towing them around. I just laugh the whole way there. Suckers....

I was at an auto parts store and I got asked if I was sure what my Jeep is because I am a blond girl. you!!!! I am SO much smarter then you are.

This wasn't for my Jeep but I was driving a 1992 VW GTI and I took it to firestone tire in Longmont and I asked them to tighten down my lug nuts while they did my alignment. No such luck. I left and by the time I got back I only had 1 lug nut on one of my tires and my tire ended up falling off in the parking lot. I told them they HAVE to fix it. He didn't believe me that it bent my CV axel, broke my tierod and bent my springs/strud to hell. I went after them and they erased all of the tape with the second time I brought my car back. He called me a stipid blond b word and told me that I needed to pay for the alignment and the new lugs they had to put on. I told him no I would not and he first ate the cost of the alignment. Then he told me I needed to pay for the lug nuts. I told him no again. He said "Ok. But if you ever feel guilty and want to pay for them, I'm here Monday through friday 9 to 4.

Haha, that's funny as hell.

I completely forgot about this until now but your mentioning of the kids playing basketball reminded me, i was driving down a tiny road in town the one day and these little pain in the a$$ kids looked at me funny because i had to rev my engine after I started it to get my battery charged a little, when I drove passed them they stared at me and yelled "light 'em up!!!". I was about to get out and smack the kid and say "IT'S A JEEP NOT A SPORTS CAR, USE YOUR HEAD BEFORE YOU TALK NEXT TIME!!!"

This one happens about once a week. Jeep is covered in dents, scratches and mud. "That your Jeep?" "Uh, yea..." "do you take it off-road?" I've started saying, nope, not mine.

This one is not Cherokee specific, but it has always bothered me, even growing up with my parents driving on the beach. Before or after wheelin in town to get gas or something. "Hey! All your tires are flat!"

Not all women are like that. I love my cherokee and wouldn't trade it for the world. When I show up at work covered in mud, theres this one guy that always asks me if i need to borrow a few bucks to wash my Jeep.
I politely reply that i will wash it in the next mud hole i find.... but would really like to use him as a speed bump.
