when they open the tailgate. there's a special trick to it.

"you have to pull it really quick"
they just pull harder instead of doing it quick

i go over there and open it. they then open it the rest. on cold days or rainy days or w/e it falls (like most) on their head.

"oh yeah, it does that a lot"

 

Haha mine's the same but you have to put your weight on the hatch and lean into it when you pull the lever. It drives people nuts if they don't know.

For a short while I had a violent and dreadfully shaky death wobble, every passenger in my car would freak out, I'd just say "Yeahhh, it's a Jeep thing"

 

lol, mine is kind of hard to explain. most people keep the lever all the way open and pull harder, when you have to let it close (when not pulling on it) all the way and then yank on it quickly for it to open.

 

I always call out other XJs just like that haha

 

yesterday i was working on my new jeep and my grandfather asks me
grandpa: "where is my pry bar, is it in you car?"
dad: "its not a car or a truck its a jeep, its a jeep thing"
and after he said that i add in
me:"you wouldnt understand"

 

Haha oh lunas be nice to grandpa!!! They don't understand!! Jeeps won us a war, he probly remembers...lol

haha well me and my dad laughed at it! and if i have to listen to him and his rediculous rules to use his shop im gonna make fun of him a bit!

my passenger the other day who drives a JK said

her: "Its so bare in here"(talking about the lack of options my XJ has)
Me: "Yeah but look at that headliner, Isn't it sweet"(my headliner is in showroom floor condition for some stupid reason)
Her: "Yeah I have kinda forgot what those looked like, I don't drive in cars much"
she won that round. I had to be nice I couldnt risk pissing her off before dinner lol I beat her enough on the trail ill let her talk her trash.

another friend of mine and wrangler driver asked why I got a cherokee, shortly after he almost rolled his jeep and I almost roll mine on the same spot but I made it trough and he backed out. I told him

Me: "Were you scared when you almost rolled"
Him:"Yeah this thing is still nice"
Me:"how much did you pay"?
Him: "16k"
Me: "Thats why I bought a cherry, I wasn't scared Because I could buy at least 16 more with the money you paid for yours. All my parts from this one would bolt up to any of those others. oh and are you enjoying that shade? Its called a rear hatch lol"

 

What I said to my passenger (mother) this morning when we went for breakfast.

Mom: geez Jhericka why don't wash this thing its so dust and dirty?
Me: that's not dirt...It's War Paint!!!!

 

i had my windows down wheelin the other day now its filled with mud inside but i stopped caring lol. need to drill some drain holes in the floor lol.
