Thinking of cashing out to buy a house...Whats she worth?
2001 XJ limited 4.0 4wd 128k miles
Black
Grey heated leather
TUPY head w/ 64k on it
4.5" Rustys Kit
Factory alloys
tow package
abs
Maintenance items done recently:
High pressure steering hose
u joints
hubs
evap system replaced
brakes nearly new
rear tires nearly new
front tires 50%
Condition:
Mechanically no problems except maybe a clunk when turning from front left
Body has a large dent (no crease) on drivers side rear door, a handfull of smaller dents throughout the rest. Rear hatch has been repainted (you can see some clear flaking around the window trim) Basically it looks like its been down some trails but the paint still shines good. Hood paint is the worst, upon close inspection its covered in little scratches/cracks.
Fresh PA inspection
It doesnt have the A/C because I am in the middle of switching it to OBA but depending on buyers wants I can convert it back
KBB fair is $5,600... How hard do you think it would be to get $4500 out of it?

KBB goes out the window when you lift it. Unless the person buying wants a lifted vehicle a lift actually lowers the value. Hope you're looking for a real cheap house. I'd put the AC back on if you really want to sell it.

X2 ^^^^^^ Ah yes, The toys are the first thing to go when buying a house. When looking for a home, Remember a pool is not considered an asset. Just like the lift on your Jeep.

I agree.. That would be about what you could expect here in AZ. Good resell here due to the terrain and heavy following. The no A/C would be a big issue, especially here. Most people would assume just by one that has working A/C already rather than have you put it back on or have it done, I would fall into this category myself.
Also, from my experience people who don't mind wheeling without A/C get a Wrangler, that's is one of the main reason I got an XJ was to still have some creature comforts and can still wheel with the best of them.
Like he said above, pictures would help though.

Nothing really strikes me as being over the top. Accept maybe the mileage. Also... It's not a great idea to have different sized tires on a 4x4.
You may get a better deal from people that know what a good XJ should look and sound like, though most enthusiast also look for a virgin suspension.
Regular people would really only be looking to purchase for the 4x4 option, or cargo space. These people also don't want lifts. A clean interior, exterior, and aftermarket sound will usually sell these types of people.
I have learned something everyone will pay out the booty for... A clean body. Pop/fill the dents, kill the rust, scuff it, then take it to a macco for a $450.00 paint job. You'll be surprised how much you can net off just a clean body and new paint.
