Thoughts on 2000 Cherokee?
I am going to look at a 2000 Cherokee 4 door tomorrow. I have owned a 1991 Cherokee 2 door before, but I am guessing Jeep made a few changes in 10 years. I am curious if a 2000 has anything special I should be looking for? (Known trouble issues and so forth...)
The owner did say it had some "head work" last year. I asked him if it was a valve job and he said, "Yeah, and gasket replacement." The way he answered me did not give me the impression he really knew what was done. So would their be any reason to have head work done other than changing out the gaskets? (Has 150k miles.)
Thanks for any imput or suggestions you can provide!

Biggest differences are the 0331 head which is more prone to cracking than previous models, so ask him to go into detail about the head work.
The ignition system had the distributor removed and went to a coil on plug set up.
The exhaust is different, not sure what but its "greener."

Thanks for the heads up. I forgot about the head issue on the 2000-01's. Wonder if maybe it was replaced? I will have to ask and see if he has any paperwork on it so I will know for sure.
