Use some stuff called VHT Niteshades. It'll be in the spray paint section at pretty much any autoparts store. The depth of tint is based on the number/how heavy of coats you use. I did 2 light coats on my taillights, 3rd brake light, and markers and think it turned out really well. I wanted a smoked look, so the light wouldn't be impeded too bad, and it turned out really well. Stay away from the headlights though, even if you do HID's.

Front markers - lights off

lights on

Rear lights off

lights on (these are just he regular lights, not the brake lights)

They've faded to about half that tint over the past year, so I'll probably do another coat when the weather's a little nicer. They look blacked out in these pics (it was cloudy), but when the sun hit them, you could easily see the amber color of the lenses.

Yea it looks pretty sick easy to do just make sure to do it when its a little warmer so it will set right..after 2 coats turn your lights on and kinda see where you are as far as brightness if its good then after that just apply to your preference I think I used 5 or 6 coats on the rears and 3 on the front markers.. good luck post pics when your done

I myself, wouldn't. I don't need to give our police force, any reasons to pull me over. (there's good and bad, in any profession. Ours are mostly bad. Ought to see where they place on the web site. Ratemycop. com)

Alabama police aren't strict about that we have ppl driving here with out front ends.. if you upgrade your bulbs it will be just as bright as before..
