Tire pressure for 31x10.50 BFG ATs
Discount Tire put em all at 34psi, but I noticed the outsides aren't even hitting the ground. They don't look overinflated though, at all.
What is everyone running with these?

I used to run a tire shop way back when I first got into 4 wheelin (most likely the reason I got into it with all the rigs coming in).
We would put that size of tire up to 35 all the time but there were guys stopping a lot to get an inflate (they had just been out getting muddy and deflated slightly for traction). I found that they prefer to have the tires no more than 30psi. Seems there's enough surface area on the tread and strength in the sidewall to easily carry your rig without adverse effects to the tires and if you think about it, 30psi in a tire of that size is actually a good deal of pressure...put that 30psi into a stock tire and it becomes more like 50-60psi.

I guess it's time to experiment...it just trips me out because the outside isn't hitting the ground, but the tires don't even look fully inflated. I've double checked em all. 34 psi.
Idk if maybe these tires just have a curve to em, and that's why the outside isn't hitting the ground. Strange...

Are you running stock rims? That is why my tires dont touch complety. I have 33x12.5s in a set of 7s. I run them at about 26 to 28 to help even them out until I can get some wider rims.

You should know that once a bead is seated on a rim, it takes very little pressure to hold it there.

I'm wanting a set of offset 8s...That will put them all the way on the ground and work good for how I want them. I know they recommend a wider rim, and I know how tire pressure and beads work.
