I got the BFG AT Buffalo NY, they do okay. The old MTR's were by far the best mud/snow tire I've ever run

In my experience....

Duratracs- best in the snow, decent in mud. last forever- nice strong sidewalls- not bad on the road. Probably my favorite so far.

Treadwright Guard dog w/ kedge grip- best on ice- not that great in mud... Okay on rocks. Humm on the road- wear okay.

Kumho road venture MT- good in mud... Dig in sand. Quiet and smooth on road. Wear semi quickly. Terrible on ice.

Super Swamper ThornBirds- garbage all around.

Super Swamper TSLs- good in snow/mud... Slip on rocks and ice... Fairly noisy.

Super Swamper LTBs- better in mud/snow than tsls- mine lasted quite awhile. Terrible on ice and noisy.

My next set will be the Fierce Attitude MTs. Look to be a little better than the Durratracs in the mud- still enough sipping and tread to be effective on ice/snow. I'll try em out and if I hate them, I'll go back to duratracs.

If you drive on gravel stay far away from firestone destination at. Just chip and fall apart in a short period of time. 3 different sets all the same outcome.

GOOD to know. Most of my driving is on unimproved (shale/gravel) roads. My 2yr old General AT2"s haven't had that problem.
