The thing with the "cheap" type kc lights is in a couple months the finish fades and the hardware rusts. I've had my KC's on my 95 for almost 3 years now finish is still bright and the hardware has yet to rust. Which is why I went with them again on my 2000. My buddy has a bunch of cheapo lights on his xj and they look like they are 10 years old only after a couple months. But they do get the job done so it's really preference I suppose. But to say there is no difference between a kc light and the cheaper ones is definitely false. For 200 bucks you can easily have yourself 2 sets of KC's. Brand new even
I really like the new fancy LEDs. But you would need to have a 1500$ budget just for one decent light bar. So for now i'll stick with my KC's

I got some old glass lens metal housings from a truck at the junkyard for 6 bucks. cleaned the lenses, polished the reflectors, painted the housings, and put in some Silverstar H3 bulbs. less than 50 bucks total, and they have saved me from at least 5 deer just in the past week (flood lights so I can see off the sides of the road)

I found 2 hella 700ff series lights on Craigslist for 50 bucks they measure out about 7 in each super bright, brighter than my friends kcs. They might not come up to often on Craigslist but when you find a deal you gotta get on it. I missed out on a wench for 200 and it was like an 800 dallor wench showed up to the house about 45 min ride and the people that just bought it were leaving with it. Brand new in the clear wrapper in the box
