I used to be really big into tuners an this interest me a lot. Best of both worlds really. I'd be really worried about boost on stock internals. That an the tons of fab work especially the manifold. Tried to google some but not much info out there. Had turbo cars before but never had to piece together something that wasn't already there.

As I said last night in the OT, 4x4 Garage magazine just built an XJ 4.0L using the 505 performance 5.0L stroker kit, the t-3 turbo at 30lbs boost, 118 octane, high flow water pump, Snow intercooler, decked the motor, bored 0.60 over, and made 692 hp at the crank @5k rpm and 770 ft lbs torque @4k rpms.

HOLLY SHIITE!!!!!!. thats awesome.hahahah
Hell i could prolly do this by next summer. i'd spend the 5k for it. with a rebuilt motor with lower comp. pistons and about 13lbs of boost. some arp head bolts. 3 or 4 core radiator a real nice street tune... that would be one-hulava street sleeper. especially with the 235's duratracs.

All that at 13lbs of low boost, and the Hesco aluminum head, piggyback a megasquirt on the computer, I'd say 300hp or near there & have a nice day.

Did you happen to buy that off Craigslist from a younger kid around the south shore MA area? If so i would check that thing over top to bottom i have been out wheeling in Kingston, Ma with him it got stuck everywhere and always broke something, one day in a huge mud puddle i swear he blew his motor it was making some crazy clunking noise. Probably fixed since then i would just look it over fully if you have not bought it already. Does look sick tho... How does it go down the road or does it not?
