Its not only and inch....36'' Iroks measure around 37'' new. Most others measure out around a 35. I wouldnt run bigger than a 35 on a chryco 8.25.

I have owned 4 zjs.....and EVERY ONE of them had tranny problems at some point. XJ autos are pretty much bullet proof.

The 5.2L is a good engine, but the 4.0L is much better in my opinion. I have seen many past 300k...only seen one ZJ with over 250k.

ZJs also have a lot of electrical issues. If you havent had them yet, give it time.

Oh yeah, XJs look better!

Attachment 146191

But trade that for completely stock 2001 xj 60th anniversary edition. Good or bad trade?
I'm sorry And I am surprised nobody has said it yet. But that is fugly! (Even zebra stripes wouldn't help)

You need to work on reading comprehension. He said ZJ's were comfier and larger on the road.

This...

My folks have a 97 ZJ V8. They bought it new.

That has been the most babied, well taken care of ZJ on the face of the planet.

The transmission has been replaced twice, the rear end blew up, it's been in the shop MANY times for the engine skipping. I've worked on it more than I ever care to work on any vehicle.

I had an 01 WJ for a while... same story.

My basic opinion is that ZJs and WJs are complete pieces of ****. You just don't have the same issues from an XJ.

Your question has been answered multiple times. Happy?

Btw, (By the Way) those flares look aweful... No matter what tires you have on it.

Because XJ's aren't pieces of **** like like ZJ's. There, your questions answered.

Your question has already been answered multiple times. ZJ's are more problematic with their electrical systems, coolant systems, engine options, and definitely transmissions. And personally it takes a lot to make one that catches my eye.

And just for the record, it's a real pain in the *** trying to understand what your trying to say when your entire paragraph post is one giant run-on. Learn how to use a period.

Yours was a good post thank you even though you hated on my finders but I wasn't going for looks if I was i'd stay off the trail and sit at home a stair at it in my drive way lol those were just practical and cheap they are 5.5" widest I plan on takeing the doors off so I didn't wanna be getting bashed by small rocks, dirt, and mud. But yeah I did miss read that comment about zj's larger on the road sorry been doing all this on my phone not the biggest of words must have just scanded over it, and I don't plan on doing any off roading until I get my new axles i'll be board to death but I don't see the point in buying even more tires to get me by until,I get new axel when I can just ride slow around town.

Actually, you asked for an opinion of why folks got an XJ. I gave mine. it looks better to me. My opinion. Several other folks gave you good reasons and have answered your question multiple times.

First, I think your caps lock key is stuck on! What you don't see in my pictures are the collectors plates on it. And if you want the definition of collectors it is listed on the DMV website. It's 21 years old and it just rolled past 71,000 miles. (A baby) The absolute past part is, I got it for Free. With all the bells and whistles of a GC. Wow! When you get rilled up, your grammar goes right out the window!

I've said my peace, and the reason my grammar is bad, is one spell check on this phone changes every word I type, two I can't half spell crap as it is so the words really get all messed up, and last I can fabricate, work on desiel engines to 2 cycle engines, and can design anything but I don't have to use grammar and punctuation in my line of work so I could care less. Until I wear suit every day to work i'll be the same country redneck I am every other day.
