Late model has cup holders, ashtray and a console box, so whats the problem?

 

early models have that plus a big change holder under ashtray, another holder behind sifter and you can put stuff where the e-brake is. I Think the early jeeps are more user friendly

 

Weird. I've always thought the opposite. Going from my last '01 to riding in a buddy's '96 all I could think about was that mine had more places to stash stuff.

Result of habit perhaps? You always get used to what you know.

 

I will say that the 84-96's more small, shallow cubbies, but I prefer the cup holders, ashtray (pull the ashtray and you've got a great spot for your cell phone if you don't smoke), and nice big center console.
