If you have to ask how hard it is to change gears you better pay someone to do it trust me.If its done wrong it can eat up the gears maybe mess up the diff if left wrong too long.

What all do I need to buy? Just ring and pinion or what?

ring and pinion x2
complete install kit x2
D30 carrier for deeper gears

and I always like to do lockers at the same time. it just works better if you build the whole axle all at once. a regear front and back can run you 800-$1000. and that's without lockers, shafts, ujoints or diff cover. gotta pay to play

or hope that RWKHaus has another deal like this

that its. just bolt em on and do a burnout, thats how all the pros set axles up anyway.

for real though... is it really that hard to search?

all these dumb people make me wanna light my XJ on fire bc i'm embarrassed at how poorly people will build them and i dont want to be associated with those people.

Relax man! Not everyone new on the forums understand right away that the forum's built-in search is absolutely worthless. Also, not everyone understands how to use Google to search a site specifically. Nothing wrong with a new thread every now and then like this one to keep things fresh, IMO.

I'm working my way towards 35's, have the same setup as you currently. Angle grinder...definitely get the angle grinder. My 10 dollar harbor freight job is serving me well. Also, you'll want to consider a transmission cooler for your AW4. I have one from a ZJ waiting to go on. Rear disc conversion is a great upgrade.

And call every off road shop or speed shop and ask what they will charge you to change gears and both axles front and rear.

All depends on the brands you buy, I'm about to buy all Yukon gears and master install kits. $$$$

I never saw the reason for this. do you just pay extra for the warranty?
and I know some gears are rated for different noise levels too
